Identity Chair
In this immersive workshop, students design and build a staked chair rooted in the theme of tied identity. Participants will gain hands-on experience learning traditional joinery alongside contemporary woodworking methods. Each student will explore shaping, drilling, and assembly techniques while considering how personal narrative informs design. By the end of the class, participants will leave with a completed chair and a deeper understanding of how craft and identity intersect.
Cost Estimate:
Students can expect to spend around $40 – 60 on materials provided by Pocosin or the instructor. This number is an estimate and the final amount could be outside of this range.
